 This is a great wall hanging if you like Americana.  It was inspired from a pattern from Old Homestead Barn.  It is made out of muslin, then stained and primmed , and sanded for the time worn look.  It has 12 stars on the blue of the flag and 1 star hanging at the top to make a total of 13.  The gold star has "1776" hand stitched on and is attached with a rusty safety pin.  The banner across the front is made from Osnaburg and has "Freedom" hand stitched on it. Tucked in at the top is some sweet annie, pip berries and some spanish moss.  It has a twine attached to the top edges for hanging.   This piece measures approx. 23" high and 6" wide.
